Professional Group is divided into two categories:

GROUP L1: University of Music Student (graduate or currently studying)
– Participant who were born between 2003 and 1994
– Repertoire:
Preliminary Round
Piece 1: One Chopin Etude
Piece 2: Any choice of piano music
(recording time: 4 to 10 min)
Final Round
Piece 1: One Chopin piano Ballade or Scherzo.
Piece 2: One movement of Chopin Piano sonata or Polonaise

GROUP L2 : Participants who were born between 1993 and 1989
Preliminary Round
Piece 1: Chopin Ballade or Scherzo
Piece 2: Any choice of piano music
(recording time:7 to 15 min)
Final Round
Piece 1 – One of the following pieces:
Fantasy in F minor, op.48
Andante Spianato and Polonaise in E flat major, Op.22
Polonaise in A flat major, op.53
Polonaise in F sharp minor, Op.44
Barcarolle in F sharp major, Op.60
Piece 2
One of Chopin Waltzes or Nocturne
Piece 3:
Any choice of piano music (For piano sonata or other piano pieces that have many movements, you can choose one movement)

Amateur Group is divided into two categories:

GROUP M1:
Requirements:
– Participatns who were born before 2001.
– Participants who have not studied piano major at the university and do not earn money from piano teaching.
– Repertoire:ย  one Chopinโ€™s piano work or any combination of pieces or movements* with one Chopinโ€™s piano pieceย  ( 5- 10 Min)

Group M2:
Requirements:
– Participants who were born before 1998.
– Participants who have studied piano major at the university or have been actively teaching piano.
– Repertoire: one Chopinโ€™s piano work,ย  or any combination of piece or movements* including one Chopinโ€™s piano piece. ( 7- 15 Min)

*For piano sonata or other piano pieces that have many movements, one movement only may be selected.
