Growing in its size and character, this seasonβs edition began with an opening concert in Hong Kong attended by VIP guests and participants and concluded with an open-air concert and Chopin poster exhibition where the audience could enjoy a medley of Chopin pieces bringing the spirit of the Warsaw Lazienki Park Sunday Chopin Concerts.
In this edition, participants from twenty three countries went hands-to-hands competing in three categories including Piano Solo, Piano Duo and Piano Concerto. The competition attracted children, young artists and adults in professional and amateur categories.
The Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition is not yet as famous as the Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition held in Warsaw, but it rapidly gains popularity, respect and recognition of pianists and educators worldwide owing to its professional jury board, warm atmosphere, inclusion and internationality.
