A concert featuring Dr. Hyunkyung Kate Lee and an accompanying Chopin Poster exhibition marked the opening of the Autumn 2021 edition of the Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition.

Organized by Chopin Avenue, supported by the Consulate General of Poland in Hong Kong, the event was held at the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong.

Throughout the concert, the guests enjoyed the music of Fryderyk Chopin alongside the Korean Rhapsody (a contemporary arrangements of traditional Korean folk songs) and William Bolcom’s β€žThe Serpent’s Kiss”.

The accompanying poster exhibition offered Chopin-themed posters of the Chopin Avenue series together with a collection from the Polish posters archive (courtesy of the Consulate of Poland in Hong Kong) including the latest poster for the occasion of the 18th Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw to be held this year.

The event also surprised with the reveal of the latest Chopin Avenue Poster designed by Agnieszka Mori.

It was yet another event by Chopin Avenue and The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Hong Kong who strive to provide opportunities for international artists and audience to perform and enjoy the music of Fryderyk Chopin while sharing, collaborating and exploring music of other cultures.
